To date Stone has been the third best blueliner on the team in what he gives up in shot attempts per 60 minutes behind the top pairing. Andersson is last.

I love me some Rasmus Andersson though, and I do think it's inevitable that they move Stone out and bring in a cheaper utility defender to sit in the press box as a Andersson fill in.

But you don't need to be a Stone apologist to give the man some credit.
Yeah the Hamonic injury already showed why the depth is needed.

Personally I really like Andersson but overall Valimaki-Stone has been much better defensively and at suppressing shots than Valimaki-Andersson.

Valimaki-Stone:
TOI- 72 minutes
Corsi For- 58% (83 for, 49 against)
Shots For - (36 for, 32 against)
Scoring Chances- 49% (34 for, 35 against)
High Danger - 45% (17 for, 21 against)

Valimaki - Andersson
TOI- 46 minutes
Corsi For- 44% (36 for, 47 against)
Shots For - 44% (20 for, 25 against)
Scoring Chances- 45% (14 for, 17 against)
High Danger - 54% (7 for, 6 against)
