You could have a line up of guys all over 6'6" and be terrible. Having big players isn't nearly as important as you're making it out to be, if Treliving agreed, he wouldn't have such a small team to begin with.DSP is a third line guy who can put up 20 points, he isn't garbage by any stretch but he isn't a difference maker like some think he is. I asked what you think he'd get on the open market if he was a UFA because I don't think he'd get that much. If that doesn't make you think differently about him then ask how good the team would actually be if they had a 20 point guy in their top 6? He's valuable and I'd trade one of our current project 3-4 line guys for him but I wouldn't give up a prospect who could be more for him. You really seem like the one who's "butthurt" over DSP because people don't agree with your claim that he's anything more than a 3rd line guy.

What infatuation do I have with him? You are the one making up this overvaluation. Who has said he would be a difference maker?
I said he would fit in with this line-up because he offers size and can play a regular shift. The reason you don't have Kanzig in the line-up is because he can't play a regular shift. Ben Street doesn't offer near the same physical play that Smith-Pelly does and it's doubtful he plays at the same level of play in other areas.
I don't think he would be in the top 6, I don't think the Flames should move important pieces for him but if they can move one of their excess of b level prospects at the AHL level then that is a move I would make.
I think he is a 3rd line guy so why would I be butthurt if people agree with that?
