Well if we were including previous years there's Alexei Yashin to consider. Even last year, Clarkson's was worse.

I just did a broad search for that phrase and got 488 hits. Was that level of disagreement so beyond the pale? I feel like people disagree more strenuously than that all the time. I don't think that comment was out of line.
Also, obviously people are wearing homer glasses. This is a Flames board and it was a Flames signing.
