Put this in context. Feaster has a media availability before the draft. He says nothing particularly mind blowing. These kinds of things are the response...

The guy certainly tries, and he loves to tell the media about how he 'tries', but all this trying only serves to highlight the fact that he's done next to nothing.

This loophole with NCAA players should have been closed with the new CBA - it might be frowned down on in the hockey fraternity but kids these days don't care...if they know they have the right to choose their team more and more of them are going to be me-first and do it. It's just a byproduct of the general attitude of the millenials (is that what they call them now?).
Weisbrod and the Flames love drafting their NCAA guys and hopefully they stop doing this - in 10 years from now NCAA guys may have a similar reputation to Russian players now - a stigma that keeps teams from spending valuable picks on a guy who is a flight risk.
It's not a good trend.

Not sure "funny" is the correct word to use.

Is that not freaking out over absolutely nothing? It was a perfectly normal media availability where Feaster didn't say anything crazy.
I'd call that freaking out. Big time. Some reporters ask some questions, Feasters answers them. Then you get a bunch of people telling him to shut up? What a joke.
