CP completed a complete first round mock draft last year (
2012 CP mock draft) and although the 2013 draft is rapidly approaching, I thought we could attempt to complete another a first round mock draft for 2013.
The Flames choices would be determined by a poll, with CP members selecting a team they would like to represent. I, for example, would represent the Carolina Hurricanes.
If you are interested in selecting a team, post your choice. For simplicity, there will be NO TRADES, only selections by the team at the designated spot.
I would like to get this under way as soon as possible to provide everyone enough time to make their selection and complete the first round before the actual draft. A tentative start would be Monday, June 8th at 10:00 am Calgary time (MDT), but if the teams are sorted we could start sooner.
Posters who select the Penguins, Bruins, Blackhawks, or Kings would have their draft positions (28,29,30) determined when possible.
A tentative limit of 12 hours to make your selection and PM the next person to make his/her selection. If someone does not make the selection after time expires, the highest rated player from Future Considerations' list will be selected.
