Default Top 50 Arcade Games of All-Time

Any notables missing? I was a little too young to be good at any of them but I do remember playing some.

It was Space Invaders for me.

Not on the list is Track & Field. That game was always occupied.

Interesting that they would go for Dungeons and Dragons over Golden Axe for side scrolling sword and sorcery games. The D and D ones were awesome though.

List lacks Strider.

Also an archaic first person shooter where you were gunning down Mafia guys. Forget the name.

Pole Position is missing.

I spent many lunch hours during Jr High playing Elevator Action at the Southland Leisure Centre.

Looked for "The Simpsons", found it. That was the arcade game everyone would play (in my time, which would be early 90s).

One of the first game exploits I remember is the popsicle stick trick to create a lever to rapid fire the buttons.

My favorite by far just squeaked onto the list, but was very hard to find in arcades..... Sinistar. If I ever find a mint one, I would definitely buy it.If the game had been more mainstream, I am sure it would be in the top 10.

Close second was Battlezone. I loved those old vector graphic games Atari made. They still have a very cool feel to them if you can find one without a horrible case of screen burn-in.

A buddy of mine has a mint version of Tempest, that looks like it just came out of the crate. I guess the thing sat in a private collectors basement for 30 years, and hadn't been turned on more than a few times. Picked the thing up for $500 at an estate auction. The jerk set it to 50 cents and makes me pay to play it. lol

If this was a list of console games then I would agree. The arcade translations of the Pitfall games were horrible though.

Golden Axe, Rampage & X-Men were the big ones for me.
Rampage was all I ever wanted to play at Chucky Cheese on my birthdays.

Cruisin USA and Time Crisis 2.

After looking through that list I have to play some Rampage again.

I loved Rampage. I remember the console versions being so awful and disappointing.

Funny, I never actually played the arcade version until years after the NES one came out.
