To give you more detail on my car, it is a 2010 VW Golf 4 dr 2.5L Comfortline with just under 40,000 km. I'm trying to get as many prices as possible in regards to the current value/selling price of my car, as that will have obviously be a major factor in whether or not it is written off. As much as it kills me to say it, the lower the price the better at this point since they are saying that by looking at the exterior, I am looking at around $9k in damages without any deconstruction to see what it looks like underneath.

I don't know if there's anything you can actually do to help me out, but if you could give me any information I would really appreciate it. Also, if it is written off and and am written a cheque to buy another car, I will most definitely be coming to Northland to replace it .

    Thanks a lot!!

    Hey Pylon,

I'm not sure if you can help me out, but seeing as I bought my car at Northland VW and I believe that that's where you work, I figured it was worth a shot. I was in an accident last Monday driving my 2010 VW Golf and while at a standstill was rear-ended at approx. 80 km/hr. The force of the impact forced me into the back of the car in front of me which in turn hit the car in front of it. I'm trying to get as much information and ammunition as possible in order to get the best outcome I can with the insurance companies, and I'm wondering if you have had any experience with dealing with customers in similar situations? Also, have you heard anything about similar vehicles that have been in similar accidents? My best case scenario is to have the car written off, as my insurance company has told me that since my vehicle in under 30 months old, if it is in fact written off, I will be given a settlement equal to my initial purchase price of the car.

Hey I started a thread about a good used car dealership and was told to drop you a PM. Do you work at a dealership in town? If so which one?

Hello I saw your signature. My mother passed away from brain cancer 3 years ago and those were the worst moments of my life. I applaud you for taking part in bringing awareness towards the cancer topic. I cannot donate right now at the moment, but is there anything else I can do?
