It really looks like Harvard has a very good chance at winning the National Championship.
It has been 18 games since they last lost a game. The last time they lost a game was before Trump took office.
If Fox wins a national championship, besides being a great experience, it will make it that much easier for him to leave college.

During yesterday's broadcast, they showed the longest active unbeaten streaks in the NCAA. Harvard was first at 16 (before they won yesterday and today). The next longest was 5 games.

Harvard now has almost two weeks to prepare for their next game. They'll play Minnesota Duluth on April 6 at the United Center in Chicago.
The game will either be at 4:00pm MT or 7:30pm MT. We should know the schedule after tomorrow's games are played.

Clayton Keller scored a really nice goal for BU. He's going to be a heck of a player. Too bad he was drafted by Arizona.

No worries... as soon as he shows some weak possession stats, Treliving will acquire him for a 3rd.

Speaking of Keller, it sounds like he has signed with Arizona.
Because of his age and the fact that the Yotes have fewer than 10 games remaining, he will not burn a year off the contract to play in Arizona this season.

FWIW, SBNation started listing their top 100 NHL prospects at the college level a couple of days ago. Hickey was #24, Fox was #27.
Quote:
24. Brandon Hickey, Defenseman, Boston University (Calgary Flames)
Brandon Hickey plays a defensive-minded, physical role on the Terriers blue line, but is not the typical plodding bruiser. He’s a smooth skater with a strong, quick first step that allows him to stay with faster forwards, and to start transition opportunities. He’s not overly creative with the puck, but moves it smartly and effectively.
He projects as a first or second pairing defenseman that can match against big scorers on the opposition.

Quote:
27. Adam Fox, Defenseman, Harvard (Calgary Flames)
Adam Fox is still very much an incomplete player, but potentially a very exciting one. Fox is not good on the defensive end of the ice, but makes up for it with exceptional, elite passing ability.
There’s no better example than this year’s World Juniors gold medal game, when Fox was on the ice and partly responsible for a pair of goals against, but he helped lead the United States comeback with a pair of assists, including one to tie the game late in the third period.
Fox was just as good from the blue line in NCAA play, tallying 31 assists in 36 games so far this season. The defensive play can be taught, and the lack of physicality improved with coaching and time spent in the weight room. But Fox’s vision and play-making skills are something that can’t really be taught. It’s going to take him another year of two of college hockey, but his future as a power play quarterback at the NHL level is very intriguing.

The schedule is set...
Notre Dame pulled off the huge upset to qualify for the Frozen Four. They went into the tournament as the #12 seed. The other three finalists were the top 3 teams in the NCAA this season.
Notre Dame is only a couple of hours away from Chicago, so they're going to play in the prime time game. That means that Harvard gets the early game.
This is good for Flames fans because the Flames are playing in LA later that night, so we can watch both games without any overlap.
TSN-Go should have all the Frozen Four games. It doesn't look like it will be carried on any of the regular TSN channels.

So Fox is a Dman, and the youngest guy on the team, but he's in on 25% of Harvard's goals this season.
That's pretty good no?

Is Fox injured or just benched in a tight game? I haven't seen him in like twenty shifts.
EDIT: NVM, I was looking for his WJC number lol

UMD scores with 30 seconds left.
2-1. Let's see if Harvard has a miracle in them.

No miracle but wow did they come close. Two bars in the final 20 seconds.
2-1 final. Fox's season is done.

Yeah Harvard went full Eakins Swarm on that GWG
Fox signing watch? He's a high-end enough prospect and a RD, so maybe he's ready to take the next step to AHL.

I don't think so. His skating and defensive positioning aren't pro caliber yet, but maybe the Flames want to get him locked into a contract sooner rather than later.
Some kind of season for him though. 40 points in 35 games, most points by a u19 d-man since Brian Leetch 30 years ago.

I don't disagree with bold but there's something to be said about getting him ice time in defensive situations that Harvard may not be giving him. Offensively he's just too good for NCAA.

Adam Fox named to All-American First team East
http://gocrimson.com/sports/mice/201...20170407qgsx6c
Quote:
arvard men's hockey freshman Adam Fox has been named a 2016-17 CCM/AHCA first team East All-American and senior Alexander Kerfoot has been selected to the second team.
Fox becomes the first freshman in Harvard history to earn All-America honors. Kerfoot and Fox become the 28th and 29th players in program history to receive All-America recognition and this season's selections represent the 41st and 42nd honors for the Crimson. They are the first set of teammates to earn All-America in the same season since 2011-12 when Daniel Biega '13 and Alex Killorn '12 were honored.
Fox made the transition to the collegiate game look easy this season and has pulled in a slew of awards. He has been recognized as the Ivy League and ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year. Additionally, he was a Walter Brown Award semifinalist and was selected to the ECAC Hockey Tournament and NCAA East Regional teams. His 1.15 points per game mark is tops nationally among all defensemen, and ranks fourth among rookies. Most recently, he received the Bob Monahan Award as the best defenseman in New England, as voted on by the New England Hockey Writers.

Wow. That is insanely impressive.
It looks like Clayton Keller won the NCAA Rookie of the Year award, but I'm sure Fox got a good number of votes too.
