1. Go to the Co-op Market upstairs section
2. Go to a convenience store. Buy something and use their microwave
3. Eat your food cold (I know, it's an Asian thing not to)
4. Buy a thermos (really good for soups and rice and things, will stay hot for 24 hours) 5. Wear a maid uniform, sneak into a hotel, and use the microwaves in the suites
6. Buy military rations and use their flameless exothermic ration heater
Is this a new building or a snobby office designer or something? Not working for the gov't anymore?
Anyone find any? I went to the husky building. Nice foyer with huge tv. 3rd floor has a tonne of tables...
No microwave
If you are that far west you could check the Nexen building, +15. There is a Starbucks there, but they might have a microwave in the area. Also check the HSBC building, I think there is a lunch area that is not part of a food place.
Can't you buy a microwave and hide it? Have a few coworkers on for the HR person/a tattle tale while you rebelliously warm your food with non-matching equipment?
To cover your tracks...
Start the next few days playing loud videos of microwaves on Youtube. Once no one reacts to the noise, plug yours in and nuke things! Then drag the microwave back to its hiding spot.

Checked both this morning, nothing.

The UofC campus building on 8th and 8th might be worth checking out, I'm not sure if they have a lunch area, but if they do they probably have a microwave.

As I recommended earlier, buy a thermos and put your rice inside it. It will stay hot for the work day. Or eat cold rice - even though my parents hate it when I do that.

You could check out the Cafeteria on the 3rd floor of Husky, they might be able to help you out. They are all pretty nice back there.
I know there wasn't a public microwave up there. People used to nuke in the office and then carry it up. I can't think of anywhere there is a public one anymore. I believe Nexen used to before the reno. Perhaps in the Amec building by the Marcello's? I seem to have a vague recollection there was one there, possibly before Marcello's though back when it was Choices. I'd agree UofC would be your best bet.
In general most buildings have policies against things like heaters. They have traditionally been fire hazards as they have elements...they may even be against fire code. Microwaves are also a hazard and many buildings have a policy against microwave popcorn. I know of one major call centre which had to go offline due to someone leaving the popcorn in the microwave too long causing it to set off the smoke alarms resulting in a full evacuation. That one event cost an awful lot.

Also, I can't believe I keep checking it to see any updates
Yep, I also keep checking for updates, this is exciting stuff.
Will Girly succeed in her epic quest to find a microwave in the maze of +15 food courts or will she be forced to give up and eat cold rice? It also has the interesting sub plot with the evil head of HR.
