Hockey's Future "Snapshot" Video of Greg Nemisz
I can't embed the video, but here is an interview of Greg Nemisz talking about adjusting to the pro game, talking about things he needs to work on, etc.

I think Nemisz's success will depend a lot on his work ethic and coachability, ability to accept roles, etc. I think he projects as a third-line type guy who will kill penalties and see the odd powerplay time.
Thoughts on Nemisz?

I like Nemisz. He seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't complain on any role given to him, can play both ends well, and will do anything and everything to help the team succeed.
Realistically, I think he'll end up being a good north/south 2nd line power forward. I could easily see him getting both PP and PK time and being a relatively consistent 20 goal scorer. I think the absolute maximum for him would be a 60 point player with 1st PK and 2nd PP time.

Yeah, I think him being in Windsor for juniors has helped him to be more accepting of checking or penalty killing roles (does anyone know if he did any PK in juniors? I would assume so. I know he played on the second and third lines a lot). Not to say I necessarily want him in that role in the NHL if he can prove to be on a scoring line, just saying it makes him less prone to rookie mistakes and makes him more adaptable.
I think he needs to add more size to his frame (197 at 6'3" is a little lanky). Once he does that, I think he'll be ready for a stint in the big club to see what he can do and if he can stick.

I agree, but he doesn't play like he's lanky. I believe in juniors and in the WJs he didn't play very physical, but he sure is here in Abby.

It's hard to project some of these guys. I don't think anyone predicted Gary Roberts was going to score 50 goals and he did. I certainly know the Flames didn't think Brett Hull would score 80 goals if you can believe what Fletcher said years after that deal.
I think a lot depends on the player himself where he will end up. It's great to not over-exaggerate your prospects, but I think too many "experts" pigeon-hole too many players as being a certain type.

He has the sense and skill to be a top 6 power forward, and I think having a guy like Iggy will be instrumental in Nemisz's development next year.

Man I hope Nemisz can be an impact player. Flames really need guys like him to become impact players.

Assuming he's good enough to get into the Flames lineup.

I think Nemisz will be in the flames lineup next year and eventually end up being a really solid 2 way second line Centre/Winger, kinda like Lankow in that he plays really smart positionally, and can cover for some of his wingers flaws.

I have never been impressed with him until this year, he has never stood out in any jr games I watched. I'm guessing he might be one of those players that you have to see more often. I feel that sometimes the real gems are the players that just keep getting better. A great example is Chris Stewart, another late first round point+ per game junior player, big, good hands. We can all hope that the comparison continues for three years (minus the current injury).
I have to say though, that agree the pigeon-holing of players is often not really helpful. Instead we should hope that at least 2-4 players of the Nemisz, Wahl, House, Erixon, Brodie, Reinhart and others make the jump to NHL top6/top4 and 2 of them are impact players.
