If that is true I don't think it's cool for someone to make money off the board that Bingo built, especially without disclosing the fact.

The Oceana one worked for others so i assume this one should as well. I believe over 600 people bought the last deal in Calgary.

Easiest would be to have one just for CP, so I've done that and changed the referral links to one for CP, it's just easier and cleaner that way.

alright delete the thread then, people sell things for a profit here all the time so really I don't see an issue,just that I was the first one to think of this, but if the mods feel it is an issue delete the thread and I appologize...

No it's a good thread, and putting some of the money to CP is a good gesture, but you have to understand that people PAY to advertise here... so if you can come along and get money from people that view the site without paying for advertising, how is that fair to those who pay for it?
It's not like no one else has thought of this, there's rules specifically against it. That's why we don't allow people to post affiliate links, promote their personal for-profit sites, or advertise their business unless they donate to CP or give discounts to CP members.
We've had other people contact us asking permission to link to this as well.
So we have one of two choices.. either we allow anyone to post whatever affiliate links they want or we allow none, because we can't be selective. If we allow any, then the site will become overrun with people posting things to try and get people to click their links.
Plus as KG already pointed out, it's trying to profit off of the hard work of others. If anyone has a right to profit off the site it's the people who've spent tons of their own personal time writing for the site, moderating, or maintaining the site, creating the graphics, themes, etc...
Anyway, as I said I've created an affiliate link for CP where the money will go into my pocket.. and then into CP
