Default Getting rid of "Defense Center"

Got a malware program that won't go away, really annoying, anyone know the best way to get rid of this program? Any help would be appreciated.

I use Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) to do my scans. The secret is to boot in safe mode.

My macbook has been a lil' wonky lately.

<GASP!> It just works?

Things like every link/clickable opening in a new tab, "spaces" and "dashboard" not working like normal(ie, can't hot corner) and of course a LOT of pinwheelin'.

Anyone have an idea? I've updated everything recently, with out resolution.

Oh, and what's with the shift key acting like a CAPS LOCK all of a sudden?

Try repairing permissions and Verify disk from disk utility as well, if it says something is up with the disc boot from your recovery cd and run repair disk.

Second this!

The OP didn't give much info, but I'm guessing "Defense Centre" is one of the fake A/V programs so prevalent these days. MalwareBytes will often clean this up pretty good, just download the free version and do the quick scan.

I have seen a very nasty varient that installs a rootkit virus, so as a precaution I also scan with GMER (from www.gmer.net). If GMER detects an alteration to one of the low-level drivers then I usually format and reinstall.

And here's a link with lots more info...

I'll second this. You should stick to the straight animal porn sites. Those gay animals are nothing but trouble.
