Glad they added the last bit about personal hygiene and grooming in vehicles as well. I've seen many a chick doing their makeup while motoring down Deerfoot.
Having said that, I did read the newspaper once on a drive to Regina many years ago.

I like that you will still be able to use devices if you can use them completely handsfree. I should go pick up a Bluetooth setup for my car.

obviously the whole text isn't there yet, but I would like to see things clarified where you could manipulate/hold/view devices while the vehicle is not in motion.
Are you still classified as being driving when you are stopped at a red light, or pulled over to the side of the road?

Calgary Herald Story.
Apparently, you would still be allowed to operate "one touch" devices - whatever that means. I suppose that could be to press a button on the phone that would allow you to voice dial.

Wouldn't there be a ton of little hair clippings all over the car? I have one of those that has a little compartment to catch them, and still half of the hair is scattered around the sink.
As for the law...sounds good to me. IMO, this kind of stuff makes much more sense then the emphasis on speeding.

I've seen salesmen shave just before heading into a meeting with a client, not while driving though.

A lot of important conversations will be put on hold.
What are you doing?
Driving. What are you doing?
Nothing.

This will probably save my life. There's been way too many times where I've been driving and texting all the while thinking to myself "this is so stupid".

So you need a bureaucrat to tell you not to do something because it's not good for you?

Will we see a reduction in our insurance because of all the accidents this will prevent?

Anyone with coles notes? I assume bluetooth headsets are still fine, what about checking email while at red lights etc.

So by "eating" I assume they mean drinking coffee as well? Morning commuters are going to freak out.

I would imagine disallowing coffee consumption in vehicles will lead to more trouble, not less.

No I just won't do it if it's against the law. I also never said it wasn't good for me, I said it was stupid. Which it is.

"No reading, writing, drawing or sketching . . . while driving." - CBC
Sketching? Really? Do people actually do this while driving? And here I thought looking out for belligerent drivers wasn't enough . . . Now we have to worry about people engaging in conceptual art at 100 kilometres / hour.
