Default Spring Snow Storm

Every year it seems we get a dump of heavy intrusive snow that creates chaos for Calgarians.

What day do you predict the next major dump wil be?

I predict - May 1st - It's a Saturday and many will be camping.

I'll say it'll hit Friday April 16th right around 4pm.

Just as I'm stumbling home from BSD.

I'll say the May long weekend. That's usually when the weather decides not to cooperate, and we usually get one glorious spring snowstorm.

Unfortunately I doubt we've seen the last snowflakes. I do have a hunch though we won't see our annual spring blizzard this year. Hopefully the snowflakes are just a few big wet ones mixed with rain and that's it....hopefully.

April 20. We're starting to move the 19th, and the winter tires are coming off the 18th.

I bought some fancy all weather tires so it's never going to snow again.

Just to make things worse, they were saying on The Weather Network, Calgary's biggest one day dump of snow was May something 1981.

A couple of days after it gets above 20 degrees this year. The increased surface albedo due to pastie white legs causes a brief climatic shift back to winter weather.
