Default Formula One Season Begins

I am soo pumped to be watching this race, that I accounted in the time shift and then set my alarm only to find that its pushed back an hour. According to F1 website, the Bahrain race has already begun - any ideas why?

Logic would dictate, we moved ahead one hour and they didnt but still I dont understand why? Please explain it to me.

Alonso won his first race with his new team Ferrari.

Ferrari is going to be a force this season. I think it'll be a battle between Ferrari and Mercedez all season long. I didn't realize Button went to Mercedez and now is partners with Hamilton. Deadly combo.

Vettel had in the bank and with 7 laps to go or something blew his exhaust and dropped to 4th.

And it is good to see the Canadian Grand Prix back for this season.

.
Button is at McLaren. Mercedes is a completely different team (Schumacher and Rosberg).

Looks like overtaking is going to be even more difficult this year than last year and it was it was incredibly hard last year to overtake. Too much follow the leader at Bahrain. No refueling and the quick pitstops was strange and will take some getting used to.

BOOOOOORINNNGGGG as hell. I used to watch every race live between 1996 and 2007. I can't even watch on my pvr anymore unless it rains.

Watched it for 10 minutes and then delete. I don't know if they can ever save F1.

It was boring at points for sure. I am willing to give it a couple of races before i label this new version of F1 boring.

However I feel really bad for Sebastian Vettel. The guy had a smile a kid would have in a candy store while doing the press conference after qualifying in Pole position.

As someone relatively new to F1 (last season was my first), what is different from now and before, like Bertuzzied mention 1996-2007?

There is rarely anyone overtaking anymore so I just watch the leader go round and round by himself most of the time.

I know they changed the pit-stops for this season, which I think is dumb. Is it the cars that make overtaking harder, or what?

So much for Formula One being boring....

What a drive by Hamilton. Got to feel for Vettel and Hamilton.....
Kubica - another unsung hero getting on the podium.
Was a great race to watch.

No, formula one is still boring. One exception does not disprove the rule.

Hopefully they do figure out how to make the sport something more than the worlds fastest parade. I used to watch a fair bit of racing, but CART was always better than F1, in my view. Lost interest in the sport when Greg Moore died.

If anyone is still up, the F1 race starting at 2am should be really fun.
Button, Trulli, Alonso, Hamilton and Massa are ALL starting at the back of the pack.
Plus it's supposed to rain hard.

Damn! Hamilton started 20th and he is already up to 5th. Amazing race so far with 35 laps to go.

Vettel and Webber are like 12 seconds ahead of everyone else.

Bunch of guys have been knocked out as well.

It is quite odd to see pit times of 4 seconds.

They'll be racing in like 15 minutes. No rain this year though.

It rained the entire race man

I am pleasantly surprised by Nico Rosberg this year.

Schumacher doesn't appear to be cut out for this anymore

Hamilton is still as good as ever, also helps when you have the fastest car on the straight, especially the 3 straights in Shanghai.

I was predicting Vettel and Webber to keep 1 - 2, but that obviously didn't happen.

Yeah, I posted before I saw it raining. Was pretty wild during the middle of the race.

Rosberg has easily been the best driver this year, may not be winning, but he is the most consistent of all the racers this year, 5th, 5th, 3rd, 3rd. Alonso goes from 1 to 7 to 13 to 4.

I still think Button/Hamilton will win though.

F1 should turn on the water sprinklers all over the track. it's the only time its worthwhile to watch.

Also if you want to make big bucks just bet on the race when you know it's going to rain.
I love you Jenson Button! twice this year.

Hope it pours like crap in Montreal and every other race this year. Otherwise it's been totally unwatchable.
