Wow.....first game was pretty neat. Looks like they may have raised the bar with #2.

Excellent, the first was superb, but ended just as it started cooking. Hopefully they take the concept to it's potential in this one!

I enjoyed portal, but it was just alright. I was basically cruising through the levels, not much more than that. If they can make a first person shooter within the game that would be cool. Maybe I should have watched the videos.

Uggh... the first one gave me crazy motion sickness, but it was too addictive to stop.

interesting they're making a full sequel, i always figured the first Portal was an elaborate tech demo for a gun they wanted to bring in for HL2 Episode 3. hopefully they bring it out to real world settings and not just pre-determined puzzles

As an aside, I couldn't get into Half-Life 2. What's my problem?

Sounds like it will be a full $60 game complete with multiplayer.

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction upon hearing this.

The first one really did seem more like a demo than an actual game. Knew it was only a matter of time before they expanded on it.

Funny thing: I was actually thinking about using "I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS!" as a Facebook status update after the Olympics... and then a couple days later comes a Portal 2 announcement!

It better be really good and long if that is the case.

I didn't even know this thread existed, I've been posting Portal 2 stuff in the video game thread.

A buddy on facebook says it is available for pre load as of today.
