The Calgary how-do-we-score-more-goals Flames might be a little envious of the numbers generated by the junior team of top forward prospect Greg Nemisz.

Ranked third in the country by the Canadian Hockey League, the Windsor Spitfires boast five skaters with 30 or more goals, including Nemisz, who has 31 goals and 34 assists, second only to top 2010 draft prospect Taylor Hall (85 points).

It's safe to say, with the Flames' current offensive woes, they'd like to fast-track a power forward like Nemisz, but that's just not the way it's done.

"It's not like I'm a quick fix for Calgary or anything like that," says a chuckling Nemisz, 19. "I've got some serious development to do before I'm even close to playing in the NHL."

But for all the complaints of a lack of top draft picks in the Flames system, Nemisz represents a promising plum for the future.

Nothing we don't already know here. Just thought I would post it for people to read.

It's good to see he knows that a lot of his success is from playing on a stacked Windsor team and he's going to have to work really hard to bring his game to the next level.

Nemisz is the product of the team hes playing on. I hope I'm wrong, but imo he'll toil in the minors for at least 3 year than become a 3rd liner.

Maybe he can be the product of the team he plays on again, the Flames...

Or he will spend a few years in the minors develop into a complete player become a top 6 forward and score 20 to 30 goals a year?

Maybe but seeing how things have gone in the past, I don't like or chances. But like I said, I hope I'm wrong but so far from the times I've seen him in Memorial Cup or at the WJHC, I haven't been impressed.

Yeah I'm not sure about Nemisz. I'm a bit higher on Howse and Wahl, but I can't see any of those guys having an impact for the Flames next year.
