Mlb09 was one of the most fustrating games I have ever played in my life (I broke a controller playing it).
I'll probably get this one haha
Yeah 09 is freaking hard. I haven't played in ages cause I'd get so goddamn frustrated. I'm in the same boat as you though...I'll probably buy this one.
Actually, did anyone ever play online? I didn't even really consider it until I was screwing around one day and accidentally found it on there.

2. the scoreboard in the outfield is actually working. I just bought a ps3 and traded off the 360 and I had MLB on the 360 and I didn't like it at all.
When does this game come out?

Thank you for everything CP. Good memories and thankful for everything that has been done to help me out. I will no longer take part on these boards. Take care, Go Flames Go.
Holy crap...that looks real. That is truly next gen stuff. I'm not even a fan of baseball games and I don't have a PS3, I couldn't believe my eyes watching that clip.
If only they had a hockey game that looked like that.

It is March 2nd. This game sells more PS3's than anything else.
The game is so realistic. The scoreboards are live, the splash counter in SF is real time, you can add walk-up music to each player (not to mention player specific chants, cheers and heckles).
The coolest new feature for this year is you can play the whole game in real-time rather than having canned cut-scenes (though they are so plentiful that you don't get sick of them). They have added instant replay.
This is the game that gets me more pumped up than any other each year, and it hasn't disappointed, ever.
I will get this one (if the gf allows me lol- I promised her the ps3 was for blu-rays only, and only have nhl10 and littlebigplanet)... can't wait.
I hope it's not too tough though- nothing pisses me off more than a video game that takes 2 weeks to learn to play. I want it to take half an hour to learn it, but weeks to get good at it.
Arrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I decided to go and play a game of 09 today, and my blood pressure skyrocketed.
I'm playing as the Jays in Franchise mode, and I've got a sick lineup. Jason Bay, Manny Ramirez, Pudge Rodriguez, Aaron Hill, Adam Lind and Lyle Overbay (plus scrubs like Scutaro and and Inglett...still gotta trade them away) and I still managed to lose 2-0 to the freaking Royals. I didn't hit a double all game. Pretty much entirely infield singles. So frustrating.
