Default Help With 7.1 Speaker Placement

I'm just setting up my basement with a 7.1 setup. All the speakers shown have been wall mounted and i am stuck on what to do with the Left rear setup. C would be the ideal spot however there is nothing to mount it to as it is t-bar ceiling. A seems way too far back from the couch and B seems to close the the Right Rear. Any Audiophiles with a suggestion?

I have a 7.1 in a wide empty room which is impossible to get great sound, but have a wonderful system, which sucks since the sound bounces all over. It's hard to say with the diagram you provided what exactly can can't be done, but what if you change your home theatre direction (ie, having the Centre where the LS is and where your RS is being your rear speakers? Wouldn't that solve the problem to a degree?

i'd still do C - just get a mounting pole and hang it from the actual ceiling. Put a small hole in the ceiling tile to allow the pole to pass through and then mount the speaker to the pole. Something like this:

Sub in the upper right corner, that way you get reverb off the walls.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Unfortunately i can't switch the room around as there is a fireplace next to RS. I will definitely have to go look at that mounting pole as it would probably be the easiest fix unless it costs an arm and a leg. Upper right will definitely work for the sub as its a duplex and the neighbors are on the left. Also anyone looking to mount speakers the wall mounting brackets from monoprice are simple to install and a steal for $5 a pair.
