The first season was in 2000 so I'm sure it was 2 or so a year after that.

I think Survivor does extensive audience polling and market research into how to edit each season. I think they have a pool of previous players pretty sussed out prior to casting a show like this.

However, I bet you that a bunch of the people they contacted told them to get lost, which meant they had to go further down the list.

Alot of my favorites are on the list. I only have a couple that I wished were on there - Yau Man would be one of them, the guy from Australia who burnt his hands would be another. Taj was fun so I wouldn't mind seeing her back.

The person I'm most ticked off about seeing is that Tyson prick. It got so bad with him that I would PVR through whenever he spoke, or use the mute button. Cant stand watching him - even to see him get voted out. Not worth it. Wont watch if he gets too far in the game.

I simply don't get the Tyson hate. He's probably in my top 5 favorite of all time, and I'm not even being dramatic.

Yeah, with a list like this. You're never gonna make everyone happy. It just can't happen. I do quibble with a couple of the choices, but for the most part, I'm alright with it. It will be very interesting to see how Russel does. He should be the first one voted out if the people were smart. But I heard rumors that they filmed this season before the last season even aired, so that would give Russel a HUGE advantage because he would know stuff about everyone and they would no NOTHING about him. I can't see that rumor being true, but will reserve judgement till I see official proof.

Have to agree here. I will still watch, but dislike every moment he spends in the spotlight. Hopefully the villains get rid of him first...well or coach.

This season was filmed before season 19 aired, so none of the other contestants have a clue about Russell.

That guy was dumb as a sack of bricks but he was all heart. Damnit Steph made it and he didn't? That is BS that guy was the best and all Steph does is start crying and complaining about how tough her life is once she faces any kind of adversity.

Tom is my all time favourite and he is there so that makes me happy. And Amanda has huge... eyes and is very hot so that is good as well. Also that Parvati while being a huge bitch is super hot. But if I remember right those two had an alliance that carried them to the end right? Picking off all of the guys.

Should be a good season.

I figure Russell wouldn't have been so bitter at the 19 Reunion if he had done somewhat decent at 20... so fair to say he doesn't win.

Is this show even a reality show anymore? I have not watched it since the second season, but it sounds like it gets more dramatized/fake every year.

I guess this will be the last time I visit this thread. This season is too spoiler heavy as it is.

These castaways have proven they love the spotlight. They each probably went individually to media outlets and revealed their votes "off the record". I'm sure its not that hard to tally the votes
