Default wtf?? Xbox wireless adapter problem

Maybe a stupid question but I just bought the "N" wireless adapter for my 360 and the setup disk it gave me does not read in my 360!

Anyone else come across this?

Wow... Microsoft fail.

Check out this article: http://nukoda.com/news/hardware-revi...ess-n-adapter/
They described the problem and how they fixed it. Maybe it might work for you?

Any and all software updates should come through a system update - why is Microsoft packaging an installation CD with a console device? Makes no sense to me...

I just plug my Xbox into an Apple Airport Express which functions on the N protocol. I'm relatively sure that gives me "N" speed but who knows... maybe Microsoft limited the Ethernet connection?

I called Xbox support and had to go through hoops to get the thing installed......open tray turn off then plug in adapter, turn off etc etc.......working properly now

I use the same setup. Considering the XBox adapter and the Airport Express cost the same, it was a no-brainer to get the AE for the extra functionality.
