Default Windows 7 Problem

So last night, I put my computer to sleep and all was fine.

Today my laptop has been wonky. It said it shutdown unexpectedly, odd as it was in sleep mode for the night. Now it takes about 20 minutes to shut down. If I do a hard-reset the internet won't come up.

In addition, McAffee won't run properly. I do a virus scan but nothing comes up.

Also iTunes won't open.

I tried restoring back to my last restore point but no change.

Thoughts? I don't really have the time right now to reformat.

Yeah I have the same problem. I posted this a while back... and was told to update my drivers. I have an internal video card so that didn't do me much good but try that!

I would try clearing the hibernation file,

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...e-disable.html

If there was one.

Otherwise, the only other thing I can think of, is a corrupt bit on the HD? run a quick check disk (/p I think) to see if there are any errors. (/r will perform a scan and fix, but it takes awhile, just run the quick one to see if there are errors)

Have you tried going through the Performance Monitor that's built into windows?

(start then search for Performance)

Usually has a good graph of what is taking up your resources.
