Make sure they work with Vista. My Auzentech's 5.1 doesn't work in Vista because of the way the sound is handled in the OS. At least I get sound though.

I use the X-fi and it's a significant difference compared to onboard to even a non-audiophile like myself.

However, I don't think I'd buy another one until the X-Fi breaks. Frankly, I wanted to stay with the Audigy2 that I had but it stopped working.

Use X-fi myself. Solid enough card. I enjoy good sound but not a huge audiophile. Only other card I have used in the past was Sound Blaster. Couldn't tell you if one sounded better over the other. I think at the end of the day, your speakers will make the bigger difference. Logitech desktop speakers blow my mind. Even the 5 yr old 5.1's I have right now are pretty damn good. Newer generation ones have blown my hair back, unbelievable sound comes out of them.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Creative X-FI Extreme Music and Logitech Z2300's.
Would recommend to anyone. Music and games sound great
even with Vista.
