Oh god I wish I could try this game, alas, no PS3. I guess MW2 will have to hold me over.

I watched a video a couple days ago of a player loading a building up with explosives, watching the enemy go into it, and then blowing the whole thing up. the effects on the building destruction looked really good. They looked much better than the pre-defined building destruction in BF1943.

BF1943 is the only BF title I have played, and I have to tell you...I have been having loads of fun playing it. It is much easier for me to be competive in online play vs. COD series. BF1943 just seems to have a more casual gamer feel to it, yet is still fun. Can't wait for Bad Company 2 to come out, looks great.

Pretty fun, though I hate getting owned because I can't do FPS on a controller..

Plus I find the graphics pretty grainy, they must render it at a low resolution and upscale it like some other games, PC version will hopefully be better.

still very early in beta stages, release is pinned around march. think they are focussing on gameplay atm.

I am very impressed with the beta, thanks silentsim! Having just been playing CODMW2 a bit, I have to say...there is something about BFBC2 that just gels better for me. I like the big maps, vehichles, large weapons kits and team play. As I hinted earlier, I am a novice/intermediate FPS player and I find I have more fun/success with this series vs COD (both good times though!).
Thanks again,
-Jerk

i have to applaud EA for publicly stating that they WILL support dedicated servers for the PC version, right after the controversy started from the MW2 pre-release info. it'll be nice to play a non-gimped PC FPS for a change, quite looking forward to this one

Thanks for the code Silentsim!

seems somewhat easier than before, as the first run through I was able to get 5/4 instead of my usual .7 K/D ratio.

Also kind of annoying that they redid the control setup again, and figuring out which is the best control setup while in game isn't really all that good. Better that they used the knife slash for r2. It'll also be interesting dealing with the fewer number of classes that are in there as well.
