Default Henrik Bjorklund now a defenseman?

I have noticed from looking at the Farjestads game sheets that Henrik Bjorklund is now playing as a defenseman. He is still listed as a forward on other sites but has played at least 3 games on defense.

Can someone that either goes to SEL games or has watched them online tell me more. Is this an injury fill in or a real attempt to change him from winger to defense. Thanks

Must have been as a fill in. I noticed in todays 4-0 win over Tim Erixon's squad he was back at forward.

I haven't seen the games but I checked line-ups and he was marked on 4th d-pairing. In SEL they have 20 man roster in each game and usually teams dress 13 forwards and 7 d-man. So he was so called 13th forward (who doesn't take regular shifts unless in case of injuries or line-up changes), not d-man.

So with the goalies the teams dress 22 players in the SEL? Is this common in Europe?

Yes and it's the same case in international games. As far as I know Finnish Elite League is the only league outside North America with 18 player roster and they changed it coming into this season (due economic savings).
