As per this discussion in another thread recently, VMware fusion 3 is officially out.

By private betaing it, i recieved a 25% off coupon for it. I already ordered it though, so if anyone needs the coupon let me know in a PM.

I've used VMWare workstation, what is Fusion? I guess I need to google this. I love VMWare

Fusion is the Apple OSX specific iteration of their virtualization software.

I think the vm's created with fusion are compatible with workstation, however, I haven't had the inclination to test that out fully.

As an aside, if anyone misses out on the coupon posted... There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of checking, if you want to go the student discount route. There's a link on the VM Fusion product page and all they ask from you is the name of your school... it's also a free-form text field too...

Student discount brings it from $79US to $39US.
