Does it have a Road to the World Cup type mode?

Can you still cheese goals with last second flicks over the goalies head?

The entire FIFA franchise has one major issue - it comes out the same month as the NHL franchise!

I am not a huge soccer fan, but I love this game.

I only ever pay attention to soccer (and soccer video games) during the world cup. I realize it's just a re-skinned version of the regular game, but I require my soccer games to be severely dumbed down. I've never fully understood how all the leagues and point structures work, so I just like jumping into a tournament with the Scottish and yelling "AYE" all the time.

I like will buy it but have a few questions:
-Do they do roster updates like EA does for NHL? I want World Cup rosters in 6 months.
- How is the online play? I had Pro Evolution 08 and the online sucked ass.
- Is it really as awesome as it looks? Really?

There will be a World Cup game i'd imagine in 6 months.

I would assume so yes. EA releases games for the special events , the teams will be in FIFA 10 but the other game will be focussed on the tourny

Yeah you can still make World Tournaments as the teams are all there (Including the authentic rosters for the Netherlands this year!)

The game is deep

Picking it up tonight. Haven't really had time to even play NHL 10, can't see how much time I can dedicate to this game either.

Is it still like the last one I bought where you suddenly needed to memorize about 80 different right stick routines for trying to get around guys?

What was the last FIFA you got?

I haven't played one before, but I'm thinking of it... just want to see what everyone thinks of it before spending the $70

I think soccer is okay. There are times where it gets exciting and times where I just fall asleep.

Is it easy for me to pick this up and play? I tried playing Madden 10 and I don't follow football at all and so all the plays got me confused what to do... in the end I didn't find it fun and haven't played it in forever.

I've had this game for a month prior, I write video game reviews so I get them early (and for free!)...Haven't stopped playing it since I got it, and I've taken League 2 Hereford all the way through to the English Premiership and victories in the F.A. Cup and Champions League numerous times.

Best EA Soccer game hands down! I gave it a 93/100 for the review...Would have been higher except for some minor in-game controller bugs.
