Oshie has choice words against Oilers
With the CPHL pre season wrapped up the Oilers have set their CPHL roster and T.J. Oshie did not make the cut. After posting 2 goals in 6 games Oshie was assigned to the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. Defenceman Ville Koistinen will serve as the teams 12th forward/7th defenceman.
Oshe is not happy with the assignment and had some harsh words for the team. "It's typical Edmonton being too cheap to pony up the required money when they don't have to. It's also another Edmonton manager being too stupid to recognize real talent. Mind you not having to be in Edmonton has a lot of positive things. It's a horrible city, horrible people, and I'm far too good to end up there. But I'm far too good for the AHL too. I wish I played for a real team, in a real city where they people have some form of inteligence and aren't so ugly."
When asked if he wanted a trade he replied: "What a stupid question, did you seriously graduate from college? Oh wait you're choosing to work in Edmonton you're probably not qualfied to wipe my arse with the paper your pathetic artical will get printed on".
GM Sylvanfan claims it's a Br'er Rabbit like request where Oshie is trying to say he dosn't want to be in Edmonton when in reality he only wants to be brought up to the Oilers and really wants to be an Edmontonian. "Edmonton is glorious and everybody loves it. Our organization is generous and has a history of keeping and treating our star players with the utmost level of respect. He's just a sad kid because his generation doesn't know how to live off an income of 210 grand a year. He needs to learn hard lessons like how to survive on a shoestring type budget."
It remains unclear whether Oshie is available for trrade...or if the Oilers are trying to find enough cap money to call him up.
