Default Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Blockbuster Video has Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on sale for $24.99. This is for a new and sealed copy. Just recently it has become a Greatest Hits game with a price of $29.99 so BBV is selling it for $5 cheaper. If you do see it the game might have a price tag of $59.99 but just have them look it up and the new price will show up. Currently I don't think the red case version (Greatest Hits case) is out yet so if you want the game in the original clear case you should probably get it now. I picked this up at the Country Hills location and they only had one copy so it might take some searching if you want to save $5 (and get the better looking case).

If you don't have this game and have a PS3 game, you need it. Easily one of my favs. Can't wait for new one.

I just picked it up and I like it but sometimes I find it difficult to get to the next level or find the right path to continue going. Perhaps I should take my brain pills before playing.

I bought it last week when I pre-ordred Batman: AA through Bestbuy. I rented it over a year ago and beat it but it's one of those games that's worth having part of your collection.

This game is so awesome ... easily one of my favorites of this generation. This (along with Heavenly Sword) was the first game to actually draw me in with the animation and voicework. It actually is starting to almost feel like a movie in some of these games. There are so many titles out there where the characters move awkwardly or their facial animations don't look realistic ... you don't notice how bad it is until you see a game like this do it right. For $25 I highly recommend.

Agreed, this, Heavenly Sword and Mass Effect have the best acted/shot cut scenes so far.

Everyone needs to play Uncharted 1 if you have a PS3. Number 2 is just around the corner and it's looking even better.

Best Buy has a sale on the new PS3 Greatest Hit games this week including Drakes. 2 games for $40. The games include:

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation

It's a good deal if there's two games you like there.

Ars did a story on the sequel.

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2...pen-on-360.ars

A bit of a puff piece, but a few interesting tid-bits (like the game fills a blu-ray disk). And Naughty Dog has always seemed to do very good games.

I couldn't stand the awkward camera and the stupid shoot around the guy's arm while looking over his shoulder as he awkwardly stays glued to the side of the screen gunplay.

Other than the stupid camera and console conventions, a good and interesting game with great locations mixing Tomb Raider with Indiana Jones.

Actually --- no wait, the game totally jumped the shark and I totally called it before it was going to happen. This game did something I couldn't believe a game had the balls to do. Most games jump the shark when the human enemies disappear and it suddenly busts out the monsters. This game not only busted out the zombies, but it even made them nazis as well.

I'm stuck at that place early in the game where you have to jump on these two vines because you can't leap across the pond. It is the part where you walk up to it and it says cheery. Simply jumping, shooting or any other button doesn't work for me to get those 2 vine-like things hanging from the roof of the cave.

Thanks for the tip guys. I picked up a copy yesterday at BB for $25. I made it through the first three chapters last night. So far it is pretty cool and for $25 you can't go wrong.

I'm not sure. It's still somewhat early in the game.

SPOILERS:

So far I have passed the part where Sully is killed and I find the map on the boat and am forced to flee for the gang that took the map. I've had a few gun fights with them, the last of which was in a clearing with stonehedge like structures.

I'm at a part where you exit the area and there is water but I can't make the jump across. Those things are hanging just before you exit the greenspace.

Did you exit the cave already? I don't remember any pool area around there....Elena is with you right? She should lead you to where you have to go.

I'm still in the series of caves/green areas. I am just after the part where you have the big shootout with 20 guys. I lost her a long time ago after she met up with me after Sully's death and I don't know where she is.

Yeah, because the face melting, Glowing mystic rocks, 1000 year old knights and inter dimensional aliens aren't 'shark jumping' either in a similar genre.

Those things are more unique than zombies and nazis which are overdone in the entire entertainent industry especially videogames.

I did really like the game enough to finish it, I just wish it were more exploration and puzzle solving in the beautiful jungle settings than a lame shooter. This game was really beautiful and had great scenery and water and locales and vistas and ancient architecture.

I'd just like to say you better get used to this. Now that games are in HD and are made to fill a widescreen you're never going to see a character stuck dead center when they have to aim properly at something. In fact you should like it that games are doing this since it's as close to a 1st person view you're going to get in these types of games.
