Default Adobe Acrobat 9

So, is it worth the $700 bucks? I want to be able to create editable PDF documents so customers can fill them out and email the information back, without having to do everything with pen and paper.

None of the open-source PDF creators have anything like that.

Haven't looked into it in awhile but I believe it is your only option. PDF is very powerful and Adobe does a terrible job promoting the technology.

Will these forms be static? Can you not do some web based forms?

I want to have both.

People email asking for a contract agreement for our filtering service, and I want to be able to send them a PDF that they can fill out and send back.

Well, I'm not really worried about the price.

I just want a good program that will do what I want it to do.

Just playing around with it now.

Really, really good program. Easy to use, especially with the editable PDF files.

I'm trying to figure out how to make presentations too. If it helps me...its work the money. All $300 of it(I can upgrade instead of buying it new).

Just noticed the agreement in your sig... I like it. What did you end up using to make it?

Built the agreement in Word, with basic tables and such, and made the fill in forms in Adobe Acrobat 9.

I ended up buying the upgrade for $220. Had 5 lying around, along with an upgrade to 7.

Great program. Real easy to use, and the automatic form builder is a breeze. Although I have to figure out a way to make checkboxes instead of textboxes by default in certain sections.

I sent you a test one and I even added what I wanted blocked . Is there a way to have it send via your server, instead of having to save it and send it as an attachement?

I really don't know. How would you go about setting that up? I'm still learning about all of this interwebz, form, PDF stuff.

Did you hit the Submit Button? Cause I put two 'click here to submit' buttons on there, and if you hit it after filling out the required fields, it gives you the option to send it through your desktop email program, or through a web-based email program.

I don't have outlook or anything installed, so I used gmail via web. I saw the two options though.

Yeah, I don't know if there is any other way to automatically send it back, but I'll look into it.

I think if you use Outlook, it automatically opens the window to send it from in Outlook.

It's a great program - very easy to use. Can use it to convert different file formats to pdf as well. My favourite feature is putting virtual sticky notes anywhere in the document that you can save. Great for editing. It also can read documents back to you lol!

Azure, you probably already know this, but for others who might read this:

You need to get acrobat professional to create fillable forms. Acrobat Standard cannot do it.
