universal remote cotes for Sony Blu-Ray player

anyone have any idea what the code would be to plug in a Shaw remote? tried the auto-code search on the remote for a good 15 minutes with nothing, and none of the Sony DVD codes i've found work. can't seem to find anything specific for their Blu-Ray players

anyone manage to get their universal remote working with these things?

Get a Harmony remote and forget about remote codes *FOREVER*.

that's the first thing i did, i used to work the phones telling customers how to go through those steps. what i need is the actual 4 digit code that the Sony Blu-Ray remotes are programmed with, because the Shaw remotes don't have it stored in it's search bank. and Google only seems to bring up other forum posts with people just as confused as i am as to what the code is, so i was hoping someone here might have gone through the same situation

Have to give another shout out for a Harmony. I bought a basic Harmony 550 on sale for 70 dollars and it is the best 70 i have ever spent. You ask about codes.....i say "Codes? Where you go with this remote goes you don't need......codes"
