xbox live down?

Anyone else unable to connect to xbox live?

It's tuesday at 8:40ish.

They sent a notice out last week about planned maintenance today. I forget the times, sorry. It should be back tomorrow.

there was a message two day ago it was going to be down for upwards of 24 hours starting early today. i received it on my xbox

mine didnt say it was down , it said something about mtu settings ... i checkec and my mtu was set to 1400 , which is what it is always set to...

The notice from Xbox.com was:

"On Tuesday, June 16th from 7:01AM UTC (12:01 AM PST) for up to 24 hours, Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, Xbox LIVE and the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post.)

The remainder of Xbox.com will be available with limited interruptions.

This service maintenance is to prepare for some of the recently announced features that will be available later this year.

Let me reiterate: When the service returns, you will not have any new functions or features. This is for scheduled maintenance only."

I remember a similar thing happening a few months before they redid the whole xbox theme thing.

What are the new features?

i don't think there are new features because last time you could look at the entire New XBL at some website, maybe this is just some small bug fxes, but hopefully there is some new feature (free games)

Yeah they announced a bunch of new features a week or so ago, I don't remember what all of them were, but it included game downloads (actual full titles, not just arcade games or demos), some kinda Facebook integration (incredible, I know), a few other things I can't remember that probably won't work in Canada for a few years anyway.
