Default Wireless headphones for TV

anyone used any before and have any recommendations or what to stay away from? Until our house sells , we are stuck in an apartment. I have some hearing problems and have to have the TV up a lil louder to hear it. My wife constantly tells me to turn it down after she goes to bed. I would like to get a pair for when i want to watch things late at night. I watch TV shows and DVDs on my xbox if that makes any difference. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

I bought some RCA 900 MHz ones at Canadian Tire for $50 when they were on sale and they work great. I would highly recommend them.

interesting. I might have to buy a pair of these to hook to my computer so I can listen to music while vacuuming/doing housework, rather than annoy the hell out of my neighbors by cranking my surround system to be louder than the vacuum at the other side of the house

I don't know much about good quality electronics etc, but my wife gave me a refurbished pair of Sennheiser (that's what it says on the headset band anyway), from tigerdirect.ca I think, and they are great. I've never used them for TV, always the computer, but I would imagine "set up" is the same - i.e. nothing. I have a little thing (not on the headphones) that plugs into a power outlet on one end, and connects into the computer - same spot I would put regular headphones. And voila, put whatever I want on, put my head phones on, and walk wherever I want. In a previous place we had they were great b/c I would put them on and then go outside and cut the grass while I listened to a baseball game. They're great. All I have to do is put in a recharged pair of Triple A batteries every once in a blue moon into the headsets.
