Default Google Wave

Surprised not too see this here yet.

Demo here:
http://wave.google.com/

Pretty neat stuff. IM, email, wiki, blogging, social networking, docs, etc all in one.

Sorry.

My head exploded and I have been tied up refreshing my inbox waiting for Wave sandbox approval.

This seems identical to the new Windows Live program I put on the wifes computer. That seem about right?

The end goal is similar, except Windows Live is more of a collection of existing service, whereas Wave is something entirely new that can be used in many different ways to essentially replace existing services. If that makes sense...

If you have some time to kill watch some of the video, its actually pretty neat.

I got an invite from a buddy of mine last night.

I have been playing with it all afternoon.

The basic interface is pretty easy to figure out and useful, but what is most exciting is what it is going to look like after a bunch of developers add "Bots" and "Extensions".

I think it is leaps and bounds beyond email, twitter and fb. It also seems to be able to integrate a lot more of my web surfing into my collaboration (or a lot more collaboration into my web surfing).

I think it will become very useful when I work with some of my volunteer groups to coordinate activities.

If you still have an invite, Rathji, I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: Amazingly cool concept here, and very promising implementation of the concept by Google. Wave looks like it could be downright "essential" to users' lives in the future.

<insert other CP members here> will appreciate that they were not the only ones to request an invite without the rather important email address, however it is kinda essential

PM's are good, because it is hard to miss them.

I've been on it since launch day, it's getting better day by day, but its still fairly buggy I find.

I still have one invite left. Who still needs one? First one to PM me with their gmail address gets it.

Do you have to use it for a while to accumulate invites? When I click on requests nothing happens. I'll hook you guys up if I can!

So far I can kinda understand and see the potential. Maybe. I think it's something you just have to use.
