Mac OS X trojans found in iWork 09 & Adobe CS4

If your software comes from torrent sites, you might need to know this...

A security alert posted this morning by antivirus vendor Intego reveals that the company has discovered a new Trojan horse that is being carried by pirated copies of iWork '09 circulating on a number of torrent sites.

The folks over at Intego let the world know about a new trojan making the rounds along with copies of an application designed to crack Adobe Creative Suite 4. They consider the risk "serious."

Probably created by a PC who got told one too many times that Macs don't get viruses.

they probably just fabricated it to scare mac users back into paying way to much money for their machines and their software!

windows users have long been able to discern between a good torrent and a bad one. though if i need software i just go with easynews.

This same company did just that a few years ago apparently.

Still though, people should be a bit worried. This isn't a virus, these are trojans which OS X is very much vulnerable to (as is every operating system on the planet).
