Default Software for Getting your PC to provide an IP from a different region than your own?

Anyone know of any software or websites for Getting your PC to provide an IP from a different region than your own to websites?

I want it specifically to view Tsn.ca so I can watch the world jrs. live. I've tried to use some proxy servers but it seems to just error out whenever I attempt that.

Is there actual software (hopefully free) that can do this?

Search for Hotspot Shield. It protects you on unsecure private networks and as a nice touch, gives no location to sites like Hulu, BBC, TSN etc....

Mac, Windows, Linux.

No Proxy so your connection is fast and it is ad supported so it's free like beer.

http://www.hotspotshield.com/

Watch Hulu to your heart's content. Just a bugger and annoying when you first start it up and it takes forever to update or connect the VPN. Sometimes it will randomly drop on my and I'll have to reboot or my connection is fubared, but that's a small price to pay to watch Remington Steele and Dougie Howser.

Apparently has a 3gb download limit. Will deny connection if you exceed said limit. (connection times out)

Too bad none of the media oligarchies have made a deal with the US networks to get media up here. It'd be nice, rather than relying on free to air..

I can't really give a recommendation to any of these, but they're worth a shot...

strongvpn
relakks
charon (also see here)
linkideo

Best of luck. Let us know what you find.

EDIT: links added.

Also ... Tor and Privoxy (both here) are two other options.

Flameswin, come back with a suggestion for me or PM me, because I'm not a fan of hotspotshield either.

Try them out yourself? It doesn't take very long.

Hotspotshield has a new advertising feature that is pretty despicable and obtrusive, it drops a banner on the top of your window although my ad blocker blocks the content, the window is still there. Much better experience with Hotspotshield on a Mac, it was 10 times faster loading on there than windows.
