Default Windows Easy Transfer

Anyone use this before? Bought the cable with the program to transfer my old computer settings (XP) to my new computer (Vista). Get's about 3/4 of the way through and gets hung up on some bookmarks. Have restarted it about 4 times today...been at it about 8 hours. Thought it might be the amount of data being transfered, so I decided to do it in batches, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

the bookmarks shouldnt take up much space

if you can copy them yourself to a floppy or usb stick or something, and try to bypass it in the w e transfer, you might have luck

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

IE Bookmarks are stored as small individual files where the filename is the name that appears in your Favorites menu followed by the .url extension. If you have some funky (or leet) characters in your favs, it could cause a program to freeze up.

You'd have to look through all your favorites menus & sub-menus to find out though.
