Default Connecting Telus ADSL "Router"

I figured before I call Telus and talk to their tech support; only to have them tell me to run the CD- does anybody know how I can connect to my new Telus ADSL router and set up the wireless without using the CD?

The CD installs a bunch of crap that I don't want/need. Any other router I've used has a way to connect and set up the wireless using IE.

The only good thing is that they have secured the wireless.

Try plugging the router in and entering either: 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1 into your web browser. Those are the standard default IP addresses for home routers so chances are one will work. You may be able to find the IP address on some documentation though.

Yeah, Telus support is pretty much useless. They decided that their installation CD is more then capable of doing everything for you, so why bother giving valid support.

My router from Telus had a default address of 192.168.1.254. Google the model of the router and "default password" to find out how to login. I think it might be "telus".

Edit

The model I have is Siemans Gigaset SE567.
