I live in Comox on Vancouver Island and we have a junior team here - the Comox Valley Glacier Kings. They play in the VIJHL (Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, obviously). At last night's game, I saw a gentleman wearing a QC Flames hat and jacket and wondered if he might be a scout in town to assess talent. I'm just wondering if there's anybody in the QC organization who could possibly confirm this?

Maybe it was Van der Gulik's dad, or someone who knows Van der Gulik and they scored some free swag from Dave. He's from out that way (Campbell River, whom your team played).

Quad City Flames don't employ their own junior scouts.

Should have gone up and said hi. Whoever he was I am sure he would have been pleased to meet a Flames fan there.

Reggie is right....we don't have our own scouts since our players mostly come from Calgary.

But you should have said hi....we're a friendly bunch!!
