Well, anything > nothing.
But that being said, MAC addresses are very easy to spoof, and common free software can sniff the packets to get that data.
As long as someone else in your neighbourhood has a access point that isn't secured, people will use that one first. If someone is looking to be malicious, then limiting to MAC addresses is like locking your screen door. You hope it will make them try someone else's door, but it won't really slow them down if they want to try to get in.
