Default Taking Blackberry to States question?

Hey guys,

I am heading to Seattle on Friday morning till Monday evening. I have a blackberry curve 8330 with bell.

Just by having it on and with me in the states am i going to get a huge phone bill because my email is still getting sent to me?

What can and can't i do? Can i surf the net and text with no additional charges or are they going to be hugely expensive because i'm roaming?

Any help or experiences you've had with your own phones would be much appreciated.

Oh also what are the rules regarding being in another Canadian city? From what i understand i can do still surf the net and text and phone (albeit long distance) without any additional charges because i'm still in canada.

Thanks!

Turn off your data unless you absolutey NEED to get your emails.

Roaming data charges will pile up super fast.

Any calls you make will cost you around $0.95/min for local calls, any long distance even checking your voicemail will cost you around $1.50/min

I'm not sure, but texting shouldn't be too much more money, maybe $0.25/text instead of the usual $0.15

While I was in LA I got killed on texts and emails. Texts cost me 40 cents or something ridiculous. Best advice is yes, turn off your data unless you desperately need something.

Phone Bell and buy a long distance/vacation/whatever package, they should have something tailored on only being gone for a short amount of time but it could save you big bucks, especially if you need to get your emails or use the internet on your phone.
