School me on digital cable...
I don't watch a lot of TV, so I know 1/100th about it what I know about computers....so bear with me for this stupid question...
I was futzing around with my Aquos 37" TV the other day, which is connected to regular analog Shaw cable, and I let it scan for digital channels, and now I have a few, that show up as, for example, channel 64.1 (maybe it was 61.4, I don't recall now)
What the heck are these? The difference in quality is noticeable, but the channels seem random and kinda scattered all over the place.
Would this mean that I could upgrade my subscription with Shaw to digital cable without having to get a digital terminal?
Inquiring minds want to know...
