If you're running a Mac I suggest Belkin to piss T_A off as much as possible.

I find they all have a few good models and a few dogs. They also do so many revisions that it is hard to make a blanket "Model-X good, model-y bad" statement. I've had luck with Linksys, but I've known others who like D-Link.
Figure out the model you are looking for, Google it to make sure there isn't anything absurdly wrong, then get it and don't look back.

Spend a little more and get a Wireless-N capable router. Sure you can get 'G' routers on sale for $20-30, but that's because they are already obsolete.

I have a DLink draft n router that hasn't caused me any trouble. Costs $60 or so now a days.
I've heard lots of good things about Netgear products. Also, if you're nerdy, you can modify base Linksys routers with an open source firmware replacement. However, I've always found Linksys products to be a tad expensive.

Meh, the spec isn't even finalized yet. I doubt it will be too much different than now, but there has been some ongoing wrangling. Even then, for 98% of people the speed to the WIFI speed won't be the bottleneck, it'll still be the network connection. And even if you do get Wireless N, the performance of it degrades really quickly over distance. If you want the extra speed, you need to be in the same room.
I just don't think it is worth any extra money to get 'N' draft capable routers yet.
