Well, I'm in Sudbury, and we have had some serious weather here as well the last week or so. -50 type weather, and much more humid than in Alberta. Face-numbing.

I called CAA to have my car boosted on Sunday, and then told me to expect a 12-36 hour wait- lots of accidents, and people stranded on the highways.

I also am working at Costco, and instead of pushing 7-10 carts at a time inside the building, we are down to 2-4 at a time. Today, maximum 3 at a time. And they plow the parking lot every other night, there's just a lot of snow falling here.

Here in Ottawa we didn't really get much snow. We got quite a bit of rain though.

It went from 7 degrees to -10 degrees in about an hour this evening and the winds are blowing like crazy. Now everything is frozen.

For those not in Calgary, it's 10 degrees right now.

10 degrees as of 2:20 PM

Wasn't online yesterday because power was knocked out in my building in Kingston. Still no internet there today, but now I'm in Calgary baby!

I went through Toronto on the 22nd. My flight was supposed to get in to Halifax at 10:15pm. As I recall, we were still on the runway at Pearson International at that time and didn't get to Hali until 3:45am. I may have been home and in bed by 5am. From what my sister told me, the next day many flights were being cancelled altogether, not delayed my friends, and upwards of 60,000 people were stranded at the Pearson airport. I would like to take this time to say thank you to the Lord Jesus Almighty and Mother Nature for not putting me through that torture. I am a grateful man and one who feels even more lucky to be able to spend my holidays with my parents and family here in Nova Scotia.
