Many tutorials will focus mainly on cs2 or cs3, so finding one specifically for 7 may be a bit of a challenge. Are you trying to do something specific?

I had a link once to a PS7 tutorial. When I get home I'll see if I still have it. You may also find a PS7 tutorial book for cheap somewhere. One I remember is by Sams called Teach Yourself Photoshop 7 in 24 hours, or something like that.

PS7 and CS are still at the basic core, identical. The main concepts and tools are all still there. Are you trying to make wallpaper from scratch? Photoshop isn't that good at that unless you have starter images or some kind of content you want to merge and edit.

the point still stands that its hard to help without knowing what you specifically want to do. heck you can get a great wallpaper with a digital camera and a usb cable... if you get creative enough you can make a funny wallpaper in mspaint...

are you trying to create things from scratch? do you have photos and graphics already that you just plan on combining? you have to know what you want before you can figure out that tools and skills you need to get there.

What your asking is like asking an artist 'how do I make a painting?' or a writer 'how do I make a book?'.

A desktop wallpaper is simply an image at 4X3 and 16X10 in aspect ratio at various resolutions. The rest is up to you.

so you are looking for advice on how to crop and fade and merge and make a nice montage of various pictures? That might be specific enough for you to start getting help on. personally, i am awful at PS. my shining achievement was making the wife and i appear on a beach when the picture was originally in the kitchen.
