Default Nintendo Wii Friend Codes

Connecting to friends online with the Wii is a bit of a pain. You have to each enter the other person's friend code. Each friend code is 16 digits long and not at all easy to remember.

Can anyone foresee a problem with interested CP members posting their Wii friend codes in a thread to facilitate online play? Could a ne'er do well take the codes and do something nefarious with them (e.g., spam)?

I would support a Wii Friends Code Thread for SMash Bros. and Mario Kart (when I get it).

I'll post mine when I get home.

I play Smash Bros and want to try out Mario Kart's supposedly great online in the next few days.

Well, I guess I'll be first.

Wii: 7116-0195-3857-1033
Mario Kart: 3308-5000-2300

Mccree, you can get the code within Mario Kart via the Channel (for the game) and the Wii friend code below:
  • At the Wii Menu, click on Message button in the lower right corner
  • Click on Create Message button in the lower left corner
  • Click on Address Book, after it opens to Page 1, click Left Arrow
  • This is the cover of the Address Book with your Wii code

Indeed it is... in fact, it was entirely wrong, not sure where I got it from.

Wii: 7116-0195-3857-1033
Mario Kart: 3308-5000-2300

I added you as a friend.

I figured out what your original code was. Apparently Mario Kart Wii's online runs off different codes than your friend code. I added the number you posted and it says its valid so I'm guessing that's it.

Mine is 1547-5741-0152.

I have JimmyTheT added as a friend from way back too.
