Default Email question

I bet someone here can answer my question.

I bought a new computer at Christmas time, which is running Windows Vista. I copied all the files from my old XP Windows machine through a program that came with the computer.

Now every time I email someone, it sends two copies of the email. Does anyone have an idea as to what my problem might be, and more importantly, how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Try this:
  1. Log on to the Vista System and open Windows Mail.
  2. In Windows Mail, click the Tools menu and select Accounts.
  3. In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click one of the duplicate email account listings and then click Remove.
  4. Click Close to close the Internet Accounts dialog box.
  5. Close Windows Mail.

I am not familiar with Windows Mail 6.0 but the above sounds like it might solve your problem. Cheers.

Another E-mail Question:

is there a 'call(msg)forwarding' option with web based e-mail?

I need to open an e-mail acct for my bus., but don't want to have to check that acct everyday for the 12 or so e-mails that will come through the address a year, and would like them forwarded to my personal acct...

Depends on the web based email itself, but many do. I know quite a few people that have various email addresses, but forward them all into their one big gmail account.

Yep, you're right. Under options in my regular Yahoo acct, it had the forwarding option...after setting up the new acct, it was a snap. Thanks, I feel a little noobish, actually. It was too easy
