Default Good PC Platform Games?

Hey Guys/Gals,

Quick question for you all. My wife and I both love Psychonauts and Lego Star Wars. I'm looking for something similar but there seems to be a lack of newish PC platform games.

Does anybody have any suggestions (either for the PC or good ports from other consoles) for a good platform game?

Thanks!

Ha, I was going to say Psychonauts when I say the thread title. The PC is not really the best place for platform games unfortunately. Do you own some of the consoles or just PC? I've been playing Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii recently and it is a superb game, possibly the best platform game ever. Ratchet & Clank on the PSP is surprisingly good and on the PS3 is incredible. I'll rack my brains for PC games but I can't recall any newish ones.

Yeah no console systems (although I'm tempted to get an Xbox360 just for GTA4), just a PC.

Sorry, can't come up with any platformers on PC. Are you and your wife into adventure games at all? I've been playing a couple of good ones recently. "Jack Keane" is an ode to the old brilliant "Monkey Island" games. "The Lost Crown" is a ghost hunting adventure. They're both quite good.

If you can find it, Beyond Good and Evil. Also you might be interested in the Prince of Persia games. They are a bit older but still fun and you should be able to find all these cheap. If you can't get enough platformers you should look at getting a PS2. There's an endless amount of platform games for the PS2.

Good call. That's a nice mixture of platforming with some good puzzles thrown in for good measure. Fun game actually.

Just grabbed Beyond Good & Evil and fired it up and so far it looks/plays great. Thanks for the suggestion!

It's a bit older but the game I always enjoyed is Deus Ex

beyond good and evil is definitely one of the best games nobody ever played. My wife really enjoyed it too. It's been mentioned but the original prince of persia is one of my favorite games of all time.

The guy who did BG&E also did Rayman. Not the raving rabbid ones but the older, better platform versions. There is a version on the PC that is pretty good but kinda old, like 5 years old.
