Default MLB 2k8 or MLB: The Show?

The internet consensus is that MLB: The Show is definitely a better game series than MLB 2k.

I'm just interested to know which one is more realistic and plays more like actual baseball.

Show - but fielding can piss you off.

For some reason the fielding controls are reversed in Road to the Show, and occasionally, when you try to queue up a throw (you're supposed to to make it more accurate), you lob a throw home instead of to 2B or a throw to 3B instead of 1B.

The Show by a mile, easily the best sports game i've played in my entire life.

Caramon, you must be doing something wrong because I haven't had that issue. You have to time it right and the ball will go where you want it and with good speed.

I wish that The Show was available for XBOX. I loved playing it when I had PSP.

Why can't they make it available for PC too?

Ugh.

I know that, but man, I'm pressing square on the PS3 controller to prepare to throw just as the ball is coming towards me.

Then all the sudden my dude air mails a throw to 3B instead of 1B. WTF? It probably happens 1/10 - 1/15 throws for me.

Wait, what? You're hitting square and you want to throw to 1st? 1st is Circle, 2nd is Triangle, and 3rd is Square...

Not when you're playing 2B in RTTS mode controls are reversed automatically for some reason.

I love the Show, great game. But for the past three years, I haven't been able to run the bases properly. How do I advance only one runner when the ball has been hit into play? For example, runners on 1st and 2nd, and I get a base hit. How do I send the one runner home, while holding the other one at 2nd? Hitting the Square and X button doesn't seem to get the job done...

You should also be able to hook yourself, because for whatever reason the manager leaves you in even when you're throwing nothing and throwing it wild. Or he hooks you when you're in the middle of a 2 hitter in the 7th inning with tons of juice left and an 11 run lead.
