Good, because the Oilers will be shut down. The population of Edmonton will be busy building toys for Santa.

Well generally in the past re-rates have only been done for guys who were really low but didn't qualify for a re-rate. An example would be Dan Ellis who's been in the league for a few years and has a 59OV rating. Since he's not a 55 OV guy you can't request a new rating for him. But if you have a 72 OV guy who's having a good year I wouldn't expect him to get bumped to a 74 at mid season...it's a waste of time to be frank....wait for the offseason.

I just wanted to wish y'all a happy holidays. After my game on Friday I won't be around for the holidays(from the 22nd to 28th or so) for the most part as my family is flying in from California and a lot of family friends are flying in from Carolina, etc. So hope everyone has a happy holidays and most importantly SAFE holidays. Please don't drink and drive and hopefully santa brings you all what you want this year (except a Flames Stanley Cup of course! ). Cheers.

Yup. What he said. The re-rates this year will be rather minor in nature. In fact I'll post something else about that.

I have nothing to do for the week after Christmas...work is locking me out for 10 days and my wife has to work every other day. Who's hosting the party?

See above...10 days is plenty of time for you to come to Halifax and make it back for work when it resumes.

I am in town and would attend a CPHL get together. I should be good to go for any day except for Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing Day.

Cool, lets look at Thursday or Friday (27th and/or 28th) night. Is there a flames game either of those? Any preferences on places? Central I guess? NOT Schanks.
